Mendocino County & Nevada County

  • 30+ years breeding
  • Four Golden Bears
  • Emerald Cup history
  • Two Northern California microclimates

Rooted in Northern California, with a growing network of licensed partners and collaborators beyond it.

The gardens

Mendocino County and Nevada County

Our roots are in Mendocino County, but we’re growing branches in Nevada County.

Having two farms with very different microclimates gives us a deep understanding of how our strains perform over a wide spectrum of growing conditions.

House genetics

House bred. Field-proven.

Legacy California genetics — cultivars bred and selected over 30+ years.

Tropical Sleigh Ride #162 — Greenshock ocimene-forward house cultivar, photographed on the plant.

Tropical Sleigh Ride #162

Tropical Sleigh Ride is Purple Candy Cane crossed to a rare Pineapple from Mean Gene. It took the 2017 Emerald Cup for highest total terpenes at 4.8%. This ocimene-dominant line throws guava, mango, papaya, orange and pine, and has proven itself from the Sierra foothills to 110-degree San Luis Obispo. #162 is one of our selections from the line.

Passion Orange Guava — Greenshock ocimene cultivar, first California Golden Bear for that terpene.

Passion Orange Guava

Passion Orange Guava is the green phenotype of our Tropical Sleigh Ride, an ocimene-dominant selection loaded with orange and guava. It won the 2019 Emerald Cup Breeder's Cup and two California State Fair Golden Bears for ocimene (2022, 2023), and took ocimene gold again in 2025.

Double Lantern #19 — Greenshock gas-line selection, sungrown against open sky.

Double Lantern #19

Double Lantern brings Ridgeline's Green Lantern together with Double OG Chem and Long Valley Royal Kush for pure heavy gas: diesel, spicy earth and pine. It is a back-to-back caryophyllene gold medalist at the California State Fair (2025, 2026), and one State Fair entry hit 5.2% essential oil and a state-high 2% caryophyllene. The heavy, stacking colas are the earliest finishers in Mendocino County.

Skunk Gas

Skunk Gas came out of our 2023–24 winter pheno hunt, a four-way cross of Green Lantern, Double OG Chem, Long Valley Royal Kush and '98 Super Skunk that reeked of skunk and gas from across the garden. High Times named it a June 2026 Strain of the Month for its “heavy skunk-diesel-menthol aggression,” and it anchors the Garcia Hand Picked California launch.

Awards

Pink Rider took the Golden Bear

That was Best Sun Grown / Outdoor Flower in 2026. The rest of the published record is on Awards — trophies are nice, but they’re not the daily work.
