Mark Greyshock is founder and master breeder of Greenshock Farms. He has been at this work for 30+ years. Three decades of passionate dedication to the plant we love.
We grow outdoors in the Nevada County and Mendocino County mountains, with living soil, organic practices, integrated pest management, and California native plants throughout the garden.
The work
How the work actually happens
Most of the selection happens in the Nevada County nursery, where Mark still walks the trays and keeps seed from plants he trusts. Pink Rider, Saddlebags, Double Lantern, Skunk Gas, and Frank Hill were developed there. Mark oversees the R&D from seed to cultivation production in Nevada County, while Paul, a lifelong friend of Mark's and master grower in his own right, runs the R&D and cultivation operations on our Mendocino County farm.
